Wendy’s has appointed Tariq Hassan as its Chief Marketing and Customer Growth Officer, a newly created role, effective immediately. Hassan previously served as Senior Vice President, U.S. Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer at McDonald’s, bringing over 30 years of experience in marketing, customer experience, digital transformation, and brand-building to the position.
The appointment follows the departure of Lindsay Radkoski, who has served as Wendy’s Chief Marketing Officer, U.S. since 2024 and will leave the company after a transition period. Radkoski contributed 15 years to Wendy’s during her tenure.
Hassan will report to Bob Wright, President and Chief Executive Officer of Wendy’s. In a statement, Wright highlighted Hassan’s track record in brand and team building, emphasizing his ability to integrate culture, technology, and consumer insights to drive measurable growth. “Tariq’s appointment is another meaningful step in returning Wendy’s to profitable growth,” Wright said.
Hassan outlined his priorities for the role, focusing on strengthening the brand’s connection with consumers across all touchpoints. “My focus will be on reigniting that passionate connection with our brand to show up more powerfully in every experience, everywhere our fans meet us,” he said.
Wendy’s, listed on NASDAQ under the ticker symbol WEN, operates more than 7,000 restaurants worldwide through its company-owned and franchised locations. Headquartered in Dublin, Ohio, the fast-food chain was founded in 1969.
