Volex PLC’s shares surged nearly 20% on Tuesday after the cable and connectivity manufacturer reported record annual revenue and raised its profit outlook for the fiscal year ending March 2027.
The London-listed company, which operates across data centers, electric vehicles and industrial applications, posted fiscal 2026 revenue of $1.24 billion, a 14.4% increase from the prior year. Organic revenue growth, excluding currency effects, reached 28% year-over-year for the four months ended July 31, 2026, driven primarily by its Complex Industrial Technology division.
Volex also reported an operating margin of 10.2% for fiscal 2026, exceeding its full-cycle target range of 9% to 10%. The company’s shares climbed from a prior close of 534p to an intraday high of 645p before settling around 639p, a gain of approximately 19.7%.
At its Annual General Meeting coinciding with the results, Volex raised its underlying operating profit guidance for fiscal 2027 above market consensus. The company cited strong demand across end markets and improved operational efficiency as key drivers.
Volex completed its migration from the AIM market to the London Stock Exchange’s Main Market in July 2026, a move aimed at broadening its investor base. The company also continues an ongoing share buyback program, which has supported liquidity and shareholder returns.
The stock’s performance outpaced broader UK equity benchmarks, including the FTSE 100, as investors responded to the combination of revenue growth, margin expansion and upgraded guidance.
