Vishay Intertechnology (NYSE: VSH) announced the release of four new series of surface‑mount standard rectifiers housed in a DFN6546A package with wettable flanks. The series are rated for 5 A (SE50N6x), 8 A (SE80N6x), 10 A (SE100N6x) and 12 A (SE120N6x), each available with reverse voltages of 200 V, 400 V or 600 V.
All versions meet AEC‑Q101 automotive qualification and comply with IEC 61000‑4‑2 for ESD protection in air‑discharge mode. The devices carry a moisture‑sensitivity level of 1 per J‑STD‑020 and can withstand a low‑frequency peak of 260 °C. They are RoHS‑compliant and halogen‑free.
The DFN6546A package measures 6.5 mm × 4.6 mm with a typical height of 0.88 mm, delivering a 10 % lower profile, 20 % higher current rating and 82 % greater forward surge capability compared with comparable SMPC (TO‑277A) parts. Technical features include an oxide planar chip junction, typical reverse leakage below 0.1 µA, forward voltage drops as low as 0.77 V, and an operating temperature range from –55 °C to +175 °C. Wettable flanks enable automatic optical inspection, removing the need for X‑ray inspection.
Samples and production quantities are available immediately, with standard lead times of eight weeks.
