Universal Display sees OLED demand growth despite macro headwinds
Company executives affirm long-term optimism for OLED adoption in displays at Oppenheimer conference, citing innovation pipeline and market resilience.

Universal Display Corp. executives on Tuesday reiterated confidence in the long-term growth trajectory of organic light-emitting diode (OLED) technology during a presentation at the Oppenheimer 25th Annual Growth Conference.
Chief Executive Officer Steven Abramson and Chief Financial Officer Sean Xie outlined ongoing demand for OLED displays across smartphones, wearables and automotive applications, despite near-term macroeconomic pressures. The company, a key supplier of OLED materials and technology, emphasized its innovation pipeline as a driver of sustained market expansion.
Abramson noted that OLED adoption continues to accelerate in premium smartphone segments, while emerging applications in augmented reality and virtual reality are expected to further bolster demand. Xie highlighted the company’s strong balance sheet and operational efficiency as mitigating factors against volatile end-market conditions.
When asked about supply chain dynamics, executives acknowledged ongoing logistics and cost challenges but stressed that partnerships with key customers have remained stable. The company did not provide specific revenue guidance but reaffirmed its commitment to long-term value creation through technological leadership.
Universal Display’s shares were indicated modestly higher in pre-market trading following the conference remarks.
