U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded $517.2 million in net inflows on Wednesday, the largest single-day increase since May 4, according to data tracked by industry monitors.
The funds have attracted roughly $1 billion in net inflows since Monday, marking their strongest weekly performance since the week ended Jan. 16, when inflows reached $1.42 billion. Spot Ether ETFs added $189.2 million on Wednesday, bringing this week’s total to about $291.5 million.
Crypto prices surged alongside the inflows, with Bitcoin trading near $72,000 on Thursday, up 11% over the prior 24 hours. Ether climbed 19% to $2,286 during the same period. The rally coincided with a U.S. Treasury announcement expanding buybacks of longer-dated government debt, which analysts said weighed on Treasury yields and the dollar.
President Donald Trump’s call for Congress to advance the CLARITY Act at a White House event also renewed focus on crypto regulation, contributing to market sentiment. Jonatan Randin, senior market analyst at PrimeXBT, noted that the Treasury’s move was interpreted as a currency-related development rather than a growth-driven one, with Bitcoin and precious metals outperforming equities.
The inflows and price gains follow a report from Standard Chartered projecting Bitcoin could reach $100,000, alongside the Treasury’s decision to double long-end buybacks, which some investors viewed as supportive of alternative assets.
