Travel Food Services reports strong Q1 2027 profit growth
Company posts first-quarter net income rise as travel demand boosts in-flight and airport food service revenue.

Travel Food Services on Tuesday reported a 14% year-over-year increase in first-quarter net income, citing robust demand for in-flight and airport food services as travel activity rebounded.
The company, which supplies meals and beverages to airlines and airport lounges, said revenue rose 11% to $1.2 billion in the quarter ended March 31, 2027. Operating profit climbed 16% to $185 million, driven by higher passenger volumes and improved cost management.
Chief Executive Officer Mark Reynolds attributed the growth to sustained recovery in global air travel, particularly in North America and Asia-Pacific regions. "Travel demand remains resilient, supporting sustained revenue growth across our core segments," Reynolds said in a statement.
Gross margin expanded to 15.4% from 14.8% a year earlier, reflecting pricing power and operational efficiencies. The company maintained its full-year 2027 guidance for revenue growth of 8-10% and adjusted earnings per share of $3.20-$3.40, unchanged from prior forecasts.
Travel Food Services shares were little changed in premarket trading, reflecting investor expectations already priced into the stock following the earnings release.
