Ibotta, Inc. (NYSE: IBTA), the leading digital promotions network for consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands, has appointed Tony Weisman to its board of directors. Weisman, previously the chief marketing officer of Dunkin’ U.S., oversaw the rebranding of Dunkin’ after 68 years as Dunkin’ Donuts and spearheaded its digital marketing and loyalty strategies. He also served as CEO of Digitas North America, a top digital marketing agency, where he expanded data science capabilities and earned multiple Cannes Lions awards for creative work. Weisman’s appointment follows Thomas Lehrman’s departure from the board, effective September 22, 2026.
Weisman’s background aligns with Ibotta’s focus on performance marketing and digital innovation. The company’s Ibotta Performance Network (IPN) connects CPG brands with publishers to drive sales through targeted promotions, having facilitated over $2.9 billion in earnings for consumers since 2012. Weisman’s experience in CPG marketing and technology leadership is expected to support Ibotta’s expansion efforts, particularly as consumer priorities shift toward value-driven purchasing decisions.
Weisman also serves on the boards of Klaviyo (NYSE: KVYO) and MNTN (NYSE: MNTN), alongside several private companies. His appointment underscores Ibotta’s strategic push to integrate advanced marketing and data-driven strategies into its platform, aiming to enhance its role in the CPG industry’s evolving digital landscape.
Ibotta’s CEO, Bryan Leach, highlighted Weisman’s contributions, noting his expertise in CPG marketing, technology, and public company governance. The company’s forward-looking statements emphasize Weisman’s potential to drive performance marketing at scale, though actual outcomes depend on various risks and uncertainties, as detailed in Ibotta’s SEC filings.
The move reflects Ibotta’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its board with leaders who can navigate the intersection of digital transformation and consumer behavior in the CPG sector.
