Analysts at Morgan Stanley maintain an overweight rating with a $181 target, while the broader consensus among 22 analysts shows 20 rating the stock a buy.
First-quarter results, reported in May, exceeded expectations with EPS of $1.19 versus a $1.02 consensus and revenue of $14.3 billion, topping forecasts by 2.14%. For the full fiscal year, TJX projects pre-tax margins of approximately 12% and EPS between $5.08 and $5.15.
Valuation metrics remain elevated, with trailing and forward earnings multiples of 28.78x and 28.98x, respectively. Over the past two months, EPS estimates have edged down by 0.15%, while revenue estimates have held steady. The global off-price retail market is projected to expand from $349.22 billion in 2025 to $582.14 billion by 2031, driven by sustained consumer demand for budget-friendly shopping amid inflation and economic uncertainty.
