Thoma Bravo to acquire Accelerant in $4.1 bln deal
Private equity firm Thoma Bravo will take insurance technology provider Accelerant private in a cash-and-stock transaction valued at over $4 billion.

Private equity firm Thoma Bravo LP agreed to acquire Accelerant Holdings Inc. in a deal valued at approximately $4.1 billion, the companies said on Monday.
The transaction, which includes cash and stock, will take Accelerant private, according to a joint statement. Financial advisors were not disclosed.
Accelerant provides insurance technology solutions, including underwriting and policy administration platforms, primarily serving the property and casualty insurance sector. The company serves clients across North America and Europe.
Thoma Bravo, known for its investments in software and technology-enabled services, has not disclosed further terms of the agreement. The deal remains subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
Accelerant’s shareholders will receive consideration consisting of a mix of cash and Thoma Bravo stock, the statement said. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2025, pending necessary approvals.
Thoma Bravo has previously acquired several technology-focused firms, including Advanced, a provider of enterprise software, and PowerSchool, an education technology company. The firm did not specify how Accelerant will be integrated into its existing portfolio.
