Thames Water Captação, Tratamento e Distribuição de Água Limited has secured approximately £667 million in additional financing commitments, bringing its total super senior facility to £3 billion.
The new commitments represent the remaining portion of the second £750 million tranche, following the initial £1.5 billion facility established in 2025. Of the total £3 billion committed, £2.25 billion has already been disbursed, with the company seeking to draw down £400 million from the new tranche. A further £230 million is planned for September.
The financing structure includes an option to raise an additional £1.5 billion, split into two £750 million tranches. Approximately £73 million of the total commitments remains deferred. Disbursement of the new funds is contingent on fulfilling or waiving specific conditions, including obtaining a Supported LUA regarding RP2.
Creditor consent and waiver requests have been launched to enable the withdrawals, waive certain conditions, and extend the June Release Condition to September 30. The consent voting deadline is set for September 8, though it may close earlier if required majorities are achieved. These requests follow 12 prior sets of consent solicitations that were approved by creditors.
Thames Water stated it continues to work with stakeholders toward a market-led solution for its financial restructuring.
