Tekcapital plc said its portfolio company Vesari Inc. filed its twelfth non-provisional U.S. patent application on August 13, advancing its intellectual property portfolio in satellite-based optical data transmission.
The application, titled Predictive Optical Communications Using Communications Telemetry as Distributed Atmospheric Sensing, addresses challenges in high-bandwidth free-space optical communications between ground stations and low-Earth-orbit satellites. The technology leverages operational telemetry from optical links to monitor atmospheric conditions such as turbulence, moisture, clouds, and aerosols, enabling predictive adjustments to maintain signal integrity.
Vesari’s U.S. Patent Application No. 19/774,832 follows its previous filings, including 11 non-provisional applications disclosed on July 15, 2026. The company, in which Tekcapital holds a 51% stake, is also developing a geothermal-powered AI compute campus as part of its broader technology initiatives.
The filing was submitted to the United States Patent and Trademark Office, marking another step in Vesari’s expansion of its patent portfolio in the satellite communications sector.
