Talisman Metals PLC said it has appointed Vernon Shein as Lead Geologist. Shein brings 44 years of exploration experience, most recently serving as Exploration Manager for Bema Gold Corp. and B2Gold Corp. from 2003 to 2022. His project portfolio includes the Kupol Mine in Russia, the Jabali Mine in Nicaragua and the Montana open‑pit at the Masbate Mine in the Philippines. He holds a B.Sc. in Geology from Concordia University in Montreal.
The company also named Driss El Bouhli as Country Manager and Senior Geologist. El Bouhli has 40 years of exploration geology experience, previously holding roles such as Exploration Manager for SEMAFO in Guinea, Exploration Geologist for Managem in Ivory Coast and Morocco, and Exploration Manager for AngloGold Ashanti in Mali. He earned an M.Sc. in Geology and a graduate degree in Structural Geology from Mohammed VI University in Rabat.
The announcement noted that Fabien Linares has left the organization. Chief Executive Officer Tim McCutcheon confirmed that the drill program launched on September 2 remains underway.
