Surf Air Mobility Inc. (NYSE: SRFM) announced Wednesday that it signed a definitive agreement with Sprintbach Aviation to deploy OperatorOS, its flight operations software platform, at the smaller charter operator. It is the company's first commercial agreement for the product outside its own airline operations.
Under the deal, Surf Air Mobility will earn a percentage of revenue from all Sprintbach Aviation flights managed through OperatorOS. Sprintbach operates nine aircraft and employs 16 pilots on staff. The company already flies for Surf On Demand and had the opportunity to observe OperatorOS running in daily airline operations before committing to the agreement.
OperatorOS is a flight operations tool designed to manage aircraft and crew scheduling, flight management, reporting and distribution for Part 135 operators. The software is powered by Palantir Technologies (NASDAQ: PLTR). The Federal Aviation Administration recently approved OperatorOS as an authorized system of record for electronic signatures and recordkeeping.
OperatorOS is one of three products within the SurfOS platform, which also includes BrokerOS and OwnerOS. The platform is built to connect brokers, operators and aircraft owners under a single suite.
Mark Hankinson, president of Sprintbach Aviation, said in a statement: "What we want from OperatorOS is simple: one system our dispatchers, pilots, and mechanics actually use, a clear picture of the whole operation, and less manual work on our team."
Surf Air Mobility began using OperatorOS internally to run its own airline operations in 2025. The company's Southern Airways and Mokulele Airlines units are among its operating carriers. Surf Air Mobility has set a target of having five operators using OperatorOS by the end of 2026.
