STARCARES, the community program associated with global multi-asset broker STARTRADER, has expanded the reach of a renovated sports court at Ban Nam Lat School in Sukhothai, Thailand, into a shared space serving both the school and surrounding neighbourhoods.
The upgraded facility supports physical education and sports activities for 62 students at the school. On weekends, the court draws approximately 600 people from an estimated 180 neighbouring households, according to the company.
STARCARES funds maintenance for its courts every one to two years to ensure the facilities remain in good condition, the announcement said. The renovation is part of a broader effort branded "Where Tomorrow STARS Begin."
Narinya Vejjaporn, a mother of a local community child, said her son had been deeply affected by the new facility. "Seeing my son so happy brought tears to my eyes. He kept talking about the games, the other children, and how much he wanted to come back. As a mother, seeing him feel so included and joyful meant more than I can explain."
STARCARES operates similar community court projects in Vietnam, the Philippines and Nigeria, following the same principle of providing shared recreational spaces, according to the announcement. The initiative is overseen by STARTRADER, a global multi-asset broker regulated by the CMA, ASIC, FSCA, FSA and FSC.
STARTRADER platforms including MetaTrader, the STARTRADER app and STAR Copy were also mentioned in connection with the announcement.
