Siegfried Holding Ltd’s shares declined 5.3% to CHF 76 on Thursday, extending losses from an intraday low of CHF 73.60 as concerns over operational execution overshadowed the company’s first-half 2026 financial results.
The stock, which opened at CHF 78.35, has retreated further from its 52-week high of CHF 101.60 and approached its 52-week low of CHF 65.05. The decline followed a downgrade from UBS, which cut its price target on Siegfried to CHF 80 from CHF 120 and reduced earnings-per-share estimates for 2026 through 2028 by roughly 7%. RBC Capital also lowered its price target.
Siegfried reported first-half 2026 net sales growth of 4.8% in local currencies for drug substances, totaling CHF 431.1 million, while drug products net sales rose 1.5% to CHF 201.9 million. Core EBITDA increased 6.0% to CHF 142 million, lifting the margin to 22.4%. Despite the positive headline figures, UBS highlighted slower-than-anticipated ramp-up of new production capacity and weaker-than-expected revenue from its recently acquired U.S. operations.
Analysts noted that while Siegfried maintained its full-year guidance, the implied second-half acceleration—estimated between 9% and 13%—concentrates execution risks and limits near-term visibility. The broader market offered little support, with the S&P 500 down 0.1% and the Nasdaq declining 0.5% during the session.
