The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has authorized OG.com to offer single-stock futures on its platform, marking a key regulatory milestone for the exchange. The approval follows North American Derivatives Exchange, OG.com’s legal entity, filing a Form 1-N with the SEC to register as a national securities exchange for futures trading. Kris Marszalek, co-founder and CEO of Crypto.com, confirmed the development in a statement, noting that the SEC’s acknowledgment clears a major hurdle for the platform’s expansion into single-stock futures products. These futures will integrate digital asset market innovations with traditional U.S. capital markets, according to Marszalek, who also emphasized collaboration with the SEC and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
The move follows a broader trend among crypto platforms to expand into equities-related products. In September, Kraken announced a partnership with the London Stock Exchange to launch tokenized UK stocks on its night-time trading venue, with availability set for 24/5 operations starting in 2027. Meanwhile, Coinbase introduced stock perpetual futures for non-U.S. traders in March, following its earlier expansion into regulated crypto futures and 24/7 cash equities trading in the U.S. in February.
OG.com’s approval underscores the growing intersection of digital asset markets with traditional securities trading, potentially broadening access to single-stock derivatives for investors seeking exposure to individual equities through futures contracts.
