Scorpio Gold Corp. disclosed assay results from the second phase of drilling at its Manhattan District project in Nevada, highlighting high-grade gold intercepts across multiple targets. The Vancouver-based miner released data for 107 of 114 holes totaling 30,889 meters, with the remaining seven holes still pending.
The most significant intercept came from Hole 26MN-115 at the Goldwedge target, returning 3.02 grams per tonne of gold over 48.92 meters starting at a depth of 118.87 meters. Within this interval, a higher-grade zone graded 19.29 g/t over 5.24 meters at 151.79 meters depth. An additional zone yielded 5.14 g/t over 10.15 meters at 173.58 meters, intersecting the faulted contact between the Zanzibar Formation and Manhattan Caldera Volcanics.
Hole 26MN-118, also at Goldwedge, returned 1.19 g/t over 99.94 meters starting at 98.61 meters, including a 5.13 g/t interval over 4.16 meters at 147.82 meters. At the Zanzibar Trend within the Gold Hill Formation, Hole 26MN-116 produced two lower-grade intercepts: 0.93 g/t over 22.16 meters at 95.71 meters and 0.84 g/t over 25.05 meters at 205.07 meters.
The Manhattan District spans approximately 4,780 hectares and includes the past-producing Goldwedge Mine and four open pits. As of June 4, 2025, the initial mineral resource estimate for the Goldwedge and Manhattan Pit areas stood at 18.34 million tonnes grading 1.26 g/t gold, containing 740,000 ounces of inferred gold. The project lies roughly 20 kilometers south of the operating Round Mountain Gold Mine.
