Schindler, the Swiss elevator and escalator manufacturer, disclosed that André Becker will become its Chief Human Resources officer and a member of the corporate executive board effective 1 January 2027.
Becker most recently served as head of human resources and a board member at retailer Lidl. Prior to that he held a series of senior management positions at chemicals group BASF, giving him extensive experience in large‑scale workforce management.
From 1 January 2027 the Schindler executive board will comprise ten members: CEO Paolo Compagna, CFO and deputy CEO Carla De Geyseleer, CIO Matteo Attrovio, CHRO André Becker, regional heads Danilo Calabrò (Europe South), Nitin Chalke (Asia Pacific), Patrick Hess (Europe North), Vikén Martarian (Americas and Escalators), Donato Carparelli (CTO), and Meinolf Pohle (China).
