Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share Index rose 1.13% on Sunday, closing at a one-month high as gains in advertising, cement and financial services outweighed losses elsewhere.
Advancing issues outnumbered decliners by 226 to 94, with 35 stocks unchanged. The index’s advance follows a broad-based rally across sectors, with the cement and financial services segments among the strongest performers.
Among individual stocks, SVCP led advancers with a 9.98% gain to SAR 19.40, while National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia rose 9.45% to SAR 37.30, marking a five-year high. Saudi Azm for Communication and Information Technology added 6.91% to SAR 25.08.
Decliners included Morabaha Marina Financing Company, which fell 4.74% to SAR 8.04, Jadwa REIT Al Haramain Fund down 2.62% to SAR 4.84, and Tabuk Agriculture Development Co, which slipped 2.27% to SAR 9.03.
Commodities traded mixed, with October crude oil futures down 0.22% at $86.64 per barrel, while Brent crude for October delivery rose 0.16% to $93.93. December gold futures advanced 1.97% to $4,661.60 per troy ounce.
Foreign exchange markets showed little movement, with the EUR/SAR and USD/SAR pairs flat at 4.38 and 3.75, respectively. The US Dollar Futures Index edged up 0.05% to 98.77.
