Saudi Arabia’s benchmark stock index, the Tadawul All Share, closed 0.89% higher on Tuesday, extending gains from the previous session.
The index, which tracks the performance of all listed equities on the Saudi Tadawul Exchange, rose as energy and financial stocks led advances. The gains followed a mixed performance in Asian markets, with investors weighing regional economic data and oil price movements.
Major components such as Saudi Aramco, the world’s largest oil company by market capitalization, contributed to the upward momentum, while banking stocks also saw buying interest. The rise in Saudi equities occurred despite a pullback in global risk appetite, as concerns over higher-for-longer interest rates in major economies weighed on broader market sentiment.
The Tadawul All Share has shown resilience in recent sessions, supported by strong oil revenues and government spending initiatives. Analysts noted that domestic liquidity and investor confidence in the Saudi market remained robust, despite external headwinds.
Trading volumes were moderate, with no significant outliers in sector performance beyond the dominant energy and financial groups. The index’s advance follows a period of consolidation after sharp gains earlier in the year, as investors reassess valuations amid evolving macroeconomic conditions.
