Salesforce and Siemens have announced a strategic partnership to integrate Salesforce's AI agent, Agentforce, with Siemens' Teamcenter Service Lifecycle Management. This collaboration aims to connect engineering data with sales and service workflows, leveraging Siemens' digital twin technology and Salesforce's customer relationship management (CRM) platform.
The integration allows service technicians to identify spare parts for specific serial numbers and enables sales representatives to quote technically valid upgrades directly within customer workflows. The goal is to help manufacturers accelerate service processes and improve aftermarket revenue operations.
Siemens has already deployed Agentforce to process over 2,500 unqualified leads monthly, operating across 132 countries for its 18,000 sellers. The system utilizes two AI agents: an engagement agent that initiates contact and a qualification agent that assesses prospects and forwards qualified opportunities. The system engages 100% of inbound leads and uses CRM data to personalize email outreach, with each email containing a secure public key that identifies leads without exposing internal record identifiers.
To streamline partner onboarding, Siemens plans to use an AI agent named Piper. Piper will build personalized pitches and schedule meetings with partner account managers. A Slackbot will coordinate certification, financial, and risk checks, while Agentforce Operations will handle final onboarding steps in SAP. The expected outcome is a reduction in supplier onboarding time from weeks to days.
