Resimac Group Ltd reported a 26% increase in normalized net profit after tax to AUD 49.9 million for the six months ended June 2026, up from AUD 39.7 million in the prior period. Statutory net profit rose 42% to AUD 49.2 million, while normalized operating profit increased 18% to AUD 92.2 million.
The company’s home loan business drove growth, with settlements rising 20% to AUD 5.9 billion and applications up 24% to AUD 9.4 billion. Home loan assets under management grew 10% to AUD 14.7 billion, contributing to a record AUD 16.5 billion in total group assets under management. Asset finance assets under management, excluding the Westpac Auto Portfolio, rose 7% to AUD 1.5 billion.
Total bond issuance reached AUD 5.5 billion for the year, a 28% increase from AUD 4.3 billion in the prior period, including AUD 5 billion in residential mortgage-backed securities and AUD 0.5 billion in asset-backed securities. The group’s return on equity improved to 13.6%, while the cost-to-income ratio tightened to 53.0% from 53.6%.
Net interest margins expanded by 5 basis points to 159 basis points, with home loan margins broadly stable at 131 basis points and asset finance margins rising 13 basis points to 212 basis points. Impairment expenses declined 5% to AUD 21.4 million.
Resimac declared a full-year dividend of AUD 0.10 per share, a 53% increase, including a fully franked final ordinary dividend of AUD 0.06 per share and a fully franked special dividend of AUD 0.09 per share. The group has maintained dividend payments for 10 consecutive years, retaining approximately AUD 103 million in franking credits.
Chief Executive Officer Pete Lirantzis noted that FY26 marked the first full year of operational improvements, stating that the company grew its core business, improved returns, and returned capital to shareholders while continuing to invest in technology and infrastructure. Interim Head of Finance Tonderai Mendonis highlighted that income growth outpaced expense increases despite ongoing investments in the business.
Shares in Resimac rose 10.06% to AUD 0.93 following the results announcement.
