Rekor Systems Q2 2026 earnings: EPS beats as revenue falls short
Rekor Systems reported second-quarter 2026 earnings per share that exceeded expectations, though revenue missed analyst forecasts. Shares were little changed in after-hours trading.

Rekor Systems Inc. posted second-quarter 2026 earnings per share that topped Wall Street estimates, even as revenue fell below forecasts, according to a transcript of the company’s earnings call.
The provider of AI-powered roadway intelligence and vehicle recognition technology reported adjusted earnings per share of 8 cents, beating the consensus estimate of 3 cents, based on data compiled by Investing.com. Revenue for the quarter totaled $21.4 million, missing the $23.1 million forecast.
Management attributed the EPS beat to cost controls and operational efficiencies, though they did not provide specific guidance for the third quarter. The company emphasized ongoing investments in AI infrastructure and expansion of its roadway analytics platform as key growth drivers.
Revenue decline was linked to slower-than-expected adoption of its vehicle recognition solutions in municipal and commercial markets. Executives noted that contract negotiations with several large municipal clients were still ongoing, which may have contributed to the shortfall.
Shares of Rekor Systems were down less than 1% in extended trading following the release. The stock has underperformed the broader technology sector over the past year, reflecting investor caution amid uneven revenue growth.
Analysts will closely monitor the company’s ability to convert its AI pipeline into sustained revenue growth in the coming quarters.
