Reitar Logtech Holdings has formed a HK$120 million joint venture with Smart Pointer Logistics to expand cold-chain logistics services in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. The partnership, named Smart Pointer Logistics Technology Limited, will operate for five years, focusing on temperature-controlled storage and digital fulfillment for the food and beverage, foodservice, retail and e-commerce sectors.
The venture leverages Smart Pointer’s existing logistics center in Kwai Chung, Hong Kong, and Reitar’s warehouse management infrastructure. Reitar plans to integrate its warehouse, transportation and order management systems with customers’ enterprise resource planning platforms, e-commerce systems and delivery-partner networks to enhance supply chain visibility and efficiency.
Smart Pointer previously utilized Reitar’s cold-storage facilities and Warehouse-as-a-Service model for system upgrades and workflow optimization, according to the companies. The joint venture aims to strengthen end-to-end cold-chain capabilities in a market where demand for temperature-controlled logistics continues to grow amid rising food and retail e-commerce activity.
