Regis Resources Ltd reported a record statutory net profit after tax of $715 million for the year ended June 30, 2026, up 181% from $254 million in the prior year, driven by a 43% surge in the average realized gold price to $6,283 per ounce.
Gold sales revenue rose 43% to $2.349 billion, while all-in sustaining costs increased 16% to $2,945 per ounce. The company's EBITDA climbed 72% to $1.345 billion, with an EBITDA margin of 57%, compared with 47% in FY25. Statutory operating cash flow rose 52% to $1.247 billion, and basic earnings per share increased to 94 cents from 34 cents.
Gold production edged up 2% to 379,050 ounces, while sales volumes totaled 374,000 ounces. Ore reserves stood at 1.965 million ounces, with total mineral resources reaching 8.280 million ounces, including the McPhillamys project. The company's lost time injury frequency rate improved to 0.3, below the industry average of 1.0.
Regis declared fully franked dividends totaling 35 cents per share for FY26, including a 5-cent special dividend, bringing cumulative dividends since 2013 to $850 million. The payout ratio was 39%, with a dividend yield of 6.1% based on the prior share price. Net cash and bullion increased by $667 million to $1.184 billion, supported by strong operational cash flow of $1.508 billion.
Capital deployment included $354 million for mine development, $74 million for exploration, and $26 million for the McPhillamys project. Finance costs fell 42% to $18 million, while tax expenses rose to $302 million from $109 million. The company's share price rose 2.73% to $8.455 following the results release.
For FY27, Regis guided group gold production to 360,000–400,000 ounces, with AISC projected at $2,990–$3,390 per ounce. Growth capital spending is targeted at $250–$270 million, with exploration spend of $80–$90 million and $30–$35 million allocated to McPhillamys. Monthly tax installments of $15–$20 million are expected in the first half of FY27, with a catch-up payment of $220–$240 million due in December 2026.
Management attributed the results to an unhedged position and consistent operational delivery, stating the record performance was achieved "not by doing anything extraordinary" but by meeting stated commitments.
