Prosus nominates Pedro Arnt to board of directors
Tech investor Prosus proposes former CFO Pedro Arnt for a seat on its supervisory board, pending shareholder approval.
Prosus NV said on Thursday it has nominated Pedro Arnt, its former chief financial officer, for election to the company’s supervisory board.
The nomination follows the completion of Arnt’s tenure as CFO in April 2024, after which he transitioned to a senior advisory role within the group. Prosus did not disclose additional details regarding the nomination process or timing.
Shareholders are scheduled to vote on the appointment at the company’s next annual general meeting. Prosus, the international investment arm of Naspers, focuses on consumer internet and technology assets, including stakes in Tencent, Delivery Hero and Meesho.
Arnt joined Prosus in 2019 from Naspers, where he had served as CFO since 2014. His tenure coincided with Prosus’ public listing in Amsterdam in 2019 and its subsequent spin-off from Naspers in 2021.
The supervisory board oversees Prosus’ strategy and governance, with members typically serving staggered terms to ensure continuity. Prosus did not indicate whether Arnt’s nomination reflects a broader shift in board composition or governance priorities.
