Optoma has secured WiSA Association certification for 68 projector models, integrating wireless audio capabilities through the WiSA SoundSend platform. The certification applies to high-end models such as the HCPro-5400 and UHZ58LV, enabling users to stream synchronized audio without additional cabling.
The HCPro-5400 features a triple RGB laser DLP engine with 5,000 lumens of brightness, 4K UHD resolution, and support for IMAX Enhanced, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+ formats. The UHZ58LV delivers 4K clarity with dual laser projection, 3,000 lumens, and DCI-P3 color coverage. Both models support Dolby Atmos passthrough via eARC and are now compatible with WiSA SoundSend transmitters.
WiSA SoundSend leverages WiSA HT technology for the original transmitter, while the upcoming WiSA SoundSend E uses WiSA E technology. The latter will be managed through the WiSA Connect mobile application, offering system equalization, bass management, and custom user profiles. The certification expands Optoma’s lineup of integrated solutions, according to Brian Soto, Director of Product Management at Optoma.
The announcement follows WiSA’s expansion into Acoustic Sciences under Datavault AI, which trades under the ticker DVLT. The company’s shares closed at $0.319 on August 21, up 1.27%, before slipping 0.35% in after-hours trading.
