Nvidia will establish an employee-funded U.S. political action committee named NVPAC, the company confirmed on Friday, marking a formal expansion of its political engagement strategy.
The initiative follows donations totaling $443,000 made by Nvidia executives Gavin Sherry and Sundeep Madra to the Republican National Committee on June 24, according to Federal Election Commission records. The PAC will be financed by employee contributions and is designed to channel funds toward political candidates whose policy priorities align with the company’s interests.
Nvidia’s move places it alongside peers such as Meta Platforms and Alphabet’s Google, which have also created federal political action committees to bolster their influence in U.S. policymaking. Federal PACs are a common tool for corporations seeking to direct financial support to candidates and causes that may shape regulatory and legislative outcomes.
The decision to launch NVPAC was first reported by Bloomberg Government on Friday. Nvidia declined to comment on the establishment of the committee or its intended allocation of funds.
The PAC’s formation underscores the growing emphasis among technology companies on political advocacy as a component of corporate strategy, particularly in areas such as artificial intelligence regulation, trade policy, and workforce development.
