NowVertical Group Inc. appointed Philip Jones as chief financial officer, effective immediately, the Toronto-based data and AI solutions provider said on Monday.
Jones, a chartered professional accountant, brings more than 20 years of CFO and senior financial leadership experience across public and private companies. He joined NowVertical in June as a financial and capital markets advisor, helping shape the company’s strategic direction before assuming the CFO role.
Christine Nelson stepped down as CFO after four years with NowVertical, including two years in the finance leadership position. Nelson is departing for family reasons and will remain with the company as an advisor through the end of August to ensure a smooth transition.
Andre Garber, interim CEO, said Jones’s appointment strengthens the executive team. “He brings a valuable combination of hands-on CFO leadership and extensive capital markets experience,” Garber said. “He has developed a strong understanding of our business and priorities.”
NowVertical, listed on the TSX Venture Exchange under the ticker NOW, provides data and AI solutions and services to enterprise clients.
