Norway’s OBX index slipped 0.19% at the close of trading on Tuesday, as losses in media, transport and diversified financials offset gains in energy shares.
Declines in 174 stocks outnumbered advances by 73, with 35 issues unchanged. Var Energi ASA led advancers, rising 1.56% to 49.39, while Equinor ASA added 1.55% to close at 394.10. Telenor ASA also contributed to gains, up 0.82% to 135.30.
Decliners included Nordic Semiconductor ASA, which fell 3.94% to 163.20, TGS NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA, down 3.78% to 137.60, and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA, which dropped 2.05% to 12.89.
Crude oil futures for October delivery rose 0.62% to $84.26 per barrel, while Brent crude for October delivery increased 0.34% to $91.18. Gold futures for December delivery fell 0.81% to $4,437.60 per troy ounce. The USD/NOK exchange rate was little changed at 9.41, while the EUR/NOK rate held steady at 10.90.
