Motability Operations Group plc disclosed that Stuart Ingall‑Tombs will assume the role of chief finance officer (CFO) on 1 January 2027. The appointment was announced on Tuesday, with Ingall‑Tombs named CFO designate on the preceding Monday.
Ingall‑Tombs joins Motability after a 17‑year tenure at Rentokil Initial plc, where he held a series of senior finance positions, including CFO of the North America business, regional finance director for Europe, group financial controller and treasurer, and most recently CFO of the group from 2020 to 2024. Prior to Rentokil, he worked in finance roles at Lex Services and RAC. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
The transition follows the planned departure of Matthew Hamilton‑James, who will step down as CFO on the same date after 25 years with Motability Operations. The board was notified of his decision in advance of the effective date.
Chief executive officer Andrew Miller thanked Hamilton‑James for his long service, noting his contribution to the organisation’s mission of providing independence to disabled people. Miller also welcomed Ingall‑Tombs, citing his extensive financial and leadership experience as an asset for executing the company’s strategy.
The announcement, filed with the National Storage Mechanism, was issued from London.
