Morocco’s benchmark Moroccan All Shares Index declined 0.61% at the close of Friday’s trading session on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, weighed by losses in utilities, banking and mining.
Declining issues outnumbered advancers by 42 to 19, with six stocks unchanged. The EUR/MAD currency pair was little changed at 10.76, while USD/MAD rose 0.30% to 9.28.
Among gainers, Ste Promotion Pharmaceutique du Maghreb SA led advances with a 5.97% gain to close at 1,296.00, followed by Involys at 3.06% to 132.95 and Zellidja at 3.00% to 319.80. Top decliners included Reba company at -4.76% to 100.00, Fenie brossette at -3.23% to 392.00 and Atlanta at -3.01% to 124.15.
Commodity futures also retreated. October crude oil futures fell 0.71% to $82.94 per barrel, while November Brent crude declined 0.53% to $88.05. December gold futures slipped 0.85% to $4,624.20 per troy ounce.
