MicroVision Inc. (NASDAQ: MVIS) unveiled a new perception platform at the IAA Transportation 2026 show in Hanover, Germany, showcasing a modular architecture designed to support a range of autonomous and driver-assistance applications across the commercial-vehicle sector.
The company is exhibiting at Hall 11, Booth D02, through September 20, 2026. Executives are scheduled to host two presentations on Tuesday and Wednesday of the event.
The perception platform is built around three lidar products: the MOVIA S short-range sensor, the HALO long-range sensor, and an ultra-long-range frequency-modulated continuous-wave (FMCW) sensing technology currently in preview. The FMCW offering combines extended sensing range with velocity information, a capability the company says distinguishes it from traditional time-of-flight lidar systems. Production of the new MOVIA S configuration is expected to begin in October 2026, according to the company based in Redmond, Washington.
A Commercial Vehicle Perception Concept demo combining the perception platform with MOVIA S and HALO sensors was displayed at the show. The system demonstrated object and pedestrian detection, blind-zone monitoring, free-space detection, and low-speed maneuvering capabilities.
Target applications span highway trucking, autonomous freight, last-mile delivery, buses, construction equipment, mining, and logistics fleets.
