MEV Bot Intercepts $7.7M in rsETH After Ethereum Wallet Exploit

An unauthorized attempt to siphon approximately $7.73 million in wrapped rsETH from an Ethereum Safe wallet was neutralized by a front-running automated trading bot, according to blockchain security firm Blockaid. The exploit involved a public keeper multicall directing a custom Uniswap v4 liquidity module into a hooked pool, where aETH was unwrapped into rsETH—a process the attacker intended to exploit before the funds could be claimed. However, an MEV bot known as Yoink intercepted the transaction, capturing the rsETH before the original attacker could complete the transfer. Etherscan data revealed Yoink moved around 18.93 ETH, worth roughly $46,000, to an address labeled as a block builder in the same transaction, effectively blocking the intended withdrawal.
