Martin Marietta Materials (NYSE: MLM) has completed its acquisition of Lhoist North America, a subsidiary of Lhoist Group, adding more than 2 billion tons of limestone reserves to its portfolio.
The transaction, finalized on Thursday, strengthens Martin Marietta’s Specialties platform, which focuses on high-value lime and limestone products used in steel manufacturing, infrastructure, heavy nonresidential construction, and environmental solutions. Lhoist North America produces high calcium lime, dolomitic lime, and industrial mineral products across its U.S. and Canadian operations.
Martin Marietta, which operates in 29 states, Canada, and The Bahamas, supplies aggregates, lime and limestone products, and magnesia-based products. The company did not disclose the financial terms of the deal.
Chair, President, and CEO Ward Nye stated the acquisition advances the company’s SOAR 2030 strategic objectives by expanding its Specialties platform and enhancing the quality, scale, and resilience of its business.
Martin Marietta plans to provide updated full-year 2026 revenue and Adjusted EBITDA guidance when it releases its third-quarter financial results.
