On September 9, 2026, MannKind Corporation (NASDAQ:MNKD) of Danbury, Connecticut announced a worldwide licensing and collaboration agreement with Rose Pharma Inc. of Westlake Village, California. Under the deal, Rose Pharma receives an exclusive global license to employ MannKind’s Technosphere dry-powder inhalation technology for the development and commercialization of ROSE-010, an investigational rapid-acting glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist.
Financial terms were not disclosed, but MannKind will obtain an equity interest in Rose Pharma, rights to royalties on any future net sales of ROSE-010 Technosphere, and a seat on Rose Pharma’s board of directors. MannKind is responsible for formulation development and pharmaceutical development services through the completion of a Phase 1b clinical study, while Rose Pharma will lead clinical development, regulatory strategy, and commercialization of the program.
ROSE-010 has completed four human clinical trials. In a Phase 2a weight‑management study, the drug reduced mealtime caloric intake and produced weight loss; in a separate Phase 2a trial in patients with irritable bowel syndrome, it demonstrated pain relief. The next steps involve formulation re‑establishment and optimization, followed by nonclinical and regulatory‑enabling development. Rose Pharma plans to advance ROSE-010 into Phase 2b studies for weight management and IBS pain relief to support later‑stage partnerships and eventual commercialization.
