Macau is targeting a non-gaming share of 60% of its gross domestic product by 2030, according to official economic development plans.
The strategic push is designed to diversify the territory's economic base away from its historical heavy reliance on casino gaming and hospitality revenues toward alternative industries and expanded tourism offerings.
