As of Sept. 8, 2026, Louisiana-Pacific shares fell to a 52-week low of $66.09, trading at $66.14 at the time of reporting, after the company reported second-quarter 2026 results that missed analyst estimates. The stock, valued at a $4.65 billion market capitalization, is down 30.51% over the past year.
In the quarter, adjusted earnings per share came in at $0.40, below Wall Street expectations of $0.64. Revenue was $664 million, against an estimate of $677.33 million, while net sales declined 12% year over year. EBITDA fell 44% to $79 million. ExpertFinish siding volumes rose 1% year over year.
The company lowered full-year capital spending guidance by $70 million, to about $320 million, and said it had indefinitely curtailed operations at its oriented strand board mill in Jasper, Texas, citing weak market conditions.
DA Davidson reiterated a Buy rating on LPX shares and maintained a $99 price target. The firm expects the siding business to return to year-over-year growth in the third quarter.
