LG Electronics India Q1 2027 profit rises 10% as stock jumps
Local unit posts higher quarterly earnings amid rising demand for home appliances and electronics. Shares gain after results.

LG Electronics India reported a 10% increase in first-quarter 2027 profit, driven by stronger demand for home appliances and consumer electronics, the company said in its earnings call transcript. Revenue growth outpaced cost pressures, supporting margin expansion.
The local unit’s net profit rose to ₹1.2 billion from ₹1.1 billion in the same period a year earlier, according to the transcript. Revenue climbed 8% year-over-year to ₹15.3 billion, reflecting sustained demand for washing machines, refrigerators and air conditioners.
LG Electronics India’s stock surged 10% in early trading following the results, extending gains from the prior session. Analysts attributed the outperformance to improved operational efficiency and a rebound in discretionary spending in urban markets.
Management highlighted investments in smart home products and energy-efficient appliances as key growth drivers. The company also noted stable supply chain conditions, which helped mitigate input cost volatility.
The earnings call did not provide specific guidance for the full year, but executives emphasized continued focus on premium product segments and digital innovation to sustain momentum.
