LaFleur Minerals Inc. (CSE: LFLR, OTCQB: LFLRF, FSE: 3WK0) appointed Andrew Elinesky as chief executive officer on Sept. 9, 2026, effective immediately.
Elinesky joins the Vancouver-based gold explorer after most recently serving as president, CEO and director of Sabre Gold Mines Corp. (TSX: SGLD), where he led the company through reorganization and its acquisition by Minera Alamos Inc. in February 2025. Prior to that, he spent 11 years at McEwen Mining, including five years as senior vice-president and chief financial officer. His career includes more than two decades of senior executive and financial leadership roles across Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom.
Paul Ténière, who served as LaFleur’s CEO, will continue as president and director, taking responsibility for technical and operational matters. These include the Swanson bulk sampling program and the recommissioning of the Beacon Gold Mill.
In connection with the appointment, LaFleur granted Elinesky 2,000,000 stock options with an exercise price of $0.40 per share. The options carry a five-year term and vest over two years, subject to Canadian Securities Exchange policies.
On the operational front, the recommissioning of the Beacon Gold Mill has reached more than 95% completion on an average per-item basis, with grinding, crushing, ore storage and thickening circuits essentially finished. The company expects full recommissioning to be completed in the fourth quarter.
Representatives of Trafigura Canada Limited and LaFleur management visited the Beacon Gold Mill and Swanson Gold Project on Aug. 10 and 11. Both parties are continuing due diligence regarding proposed prepayment and gold doré offtake arrangements, though LaFleur cautioned that there is no assurance definitive agreements will be finalized.
Recent diamond drilling at the Swanson Gold Project intersected gold mineralization outside the pit shell used in the company’s preliminary economic assessment.
