Kleos, a Redwood City-based workforce management platform, has launched Direct FX, enabling contractors to receive payouts in more than 140 local currencies directly from their USD or EUR balances.
The feature integrates currency conversion into Kleos’ payout workflow, eliminating the need for contractors to use separate exchange tools. Users can view the exchange rate, converted amount, and final payout before confirming a withdrawal. The quoted rate remains fixed for 15 minutes before automatically refreshing.
Direct FX supports multiple payout methods, including bank transfers, card payments, and a new local payout option. The platform already facilitates workforce management across over 200 locations, with more than 600 teams globally relying on its Contractor of Record and Employer of Record solutions. Since its launch, Kleos has processed over $80 million in global payments without a missed payout cycle.
Aleksei Chistiakov, CBDO and co-founder of Kleos, said the feature addresses a common pain point for companies hiring internationally. 'Companies hiring globally shouldn’t have to think about how people get paid in their own currency; it should just work,' he stated. 'Direct FX folds the conversion into the payout itself, with the rate shown up front. One less step standing between a company and paying contractors cleanly.'
Kleos holds ISO/IEC 27001 certification and is GDPR compliant, providing additional assurance for cross-border transactions.
