Dutch biotechnology company Kaleon said on Friday it had bought back 1,165 of its own shares for a total of €4,592.58.
The buyback was conducted under Kaleon’s existing share repurchase program, with shares acquired at an average price of €3.94 each. The transaction was executed through a broker on Euronext Amsterdam.
Kaleon did not disclose further details regarding the purpose of the repurchase or any strategic rationale behind the move. Minor buybacks are common in corporate capital management and may be used to offset dilution from employee stock plans or to return capital to shareholders in a tax-efficient manner.
The company’s shares are listed on Euronext Amsterdam under the ticker KALN.
