JOYY Inc. shares advanced 4.0% in after-hours trading on Thursday following the release of its second-quarter 2026 results, which exceeded market expectations on both revenue and profitability metrics.
The company reported total revenue of $590.8 million for the quarter, up 16.3% from the same period a year earlier and 6.3% sequentially. The figure surpassed the consensus estimate of approximately $570 million. Operating income reached $13.8 million, a 138.1% increase year-over-year, reflecting broad-based strength across JOYY’s three core segments: digital advertising, social entertainment and online shopping.
For the third quarter of 2026, JOYY guided net revenue to a range of $602 million to $622 million. The outlook underscores continued growth momentum following the stronger-than-expected second-quarter performance.
