Jefferson Capital Q2 2026 collections rise 18% on auto finance strength
Auto finance unit lifts Jefferson Capital’s second-quarter 2026 collections to $1.45 billion, beating prior guidance as recovery in used-car demand supports performance.

Jefferson Capital Systems reported an 18% year-over-year increase in second-quarter 2026 collections, driven by stronger performance in its auto finance segment.
The company’s collections totaled $1.45 billion in the period, exceeding prior guidance and reflecting improved recovery rates in the used-vehicle market. Auto finance accounted for the majority of the growth, offsetting softer results in other business lines.
Management attributed the outperformance to higher transaction volumes and improved collateral values in auto lending, which supported higher recovery rates on delinquent loans. The segment’s contribution to total collections rose to 62%, up from 54% in the same period last year.
Jefferson Capital did not provide specific financial metrics beyond collections in its preliminary results. The company plans to release full second-quarter earnings on August 7, 2026, alongside updated guidance for the full year.
