Israel’s benchmark TA 35 index rose 0.11% at the close of trade on Wednesday, as gains in the insurance and biotechnology sectors offset declines in energy names.
The Tel Aviv 35 finished at 12,620.00, up 13.86 points from the prior session. Advancing issues outnumbered decliners by 261 to 206, with 92 stocks unchanged.
Clal Insurance Enterprises Holdings Ltd led sector gains, adding 2.13% to close at 25,860.00, while Migdal Insurance rose 2.10% to 1,945.00. Biomedical shares also contributed to the advance, though specific names were not detailed in exchange data.
Energy stocks weighed on the index, with Enlight Energy falling 2.82% to 23,410.00. Navitas Petroleum’s unit declined 2.45% to 13,160.00, and Next Vision Stabilized Systems dropped 2.21% to 19,930.00.
Commodities traded lower as oil and gold futures slipped. October crude oil fell 0.70% to $81.78 per barrel, while November Brent crude declined 0.66% to $86.69. December gold futures dropped 0.62% to $4,665.26 per troy ounce.
The U.S. dollar strengthened 0.29% against the Israeli shekel to 2.98, while the euro was little changed at 3.47. The U.S. Dollar Index rose 0.28% to 99.12.
