IonQ, a leader in quantum computing and quantum key distribution (QKD), has secured a $8.18 million deal with Congruity360 to integrate its Clavis QKD technology and Solteris Network Appliances into the latter’s enterprise data management platform. The collaboration aims to enhance security for clients across finance, healthcare, insurance, legal services, manufacturing, defense, and higher education sectors, addressing evolving threats from quantum computing advancements.
The partnership follows the White House’s June 2026 executive order, which accelerated federal post-quantum cryptography deadlines to 2030 and extended requirements to contractors. IonQ has been deploying its quantum solutions since 2021 through major cloud providers, including a recent statewide initiative with Florida LambdaRail and network upgrades in Switzerland with Cisco. This deal marks one of the largest commercial quantum security agreements announced in the United States.
Under the arrangement, Congruity360 will integrate IonQ’s QKD technology alongside its AI-driven unstructured data management services, which process petabyte-scale datasets across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. Jordan Shapiro, president of IonQ’s Quantum Platform, noted that the collaboration ensures data confidentiality beyond regulatory deadlines. Brian Davidson, CEO of Congruity360, emphasized the partnership’s role in advancing data security posture management, positioning it as a cornerstone of future enterprise cybersecurity strategies.
IonQ’s stock (NYSE: IONQ) traded at $42.60 on September 8, 2026, up 7.79% in real-time data, reflecting broader momentum in the quantum computing sector as firms seek to commercialize post-quantum cryptography solutions.
