Indigo Paints posts 60% profit jump in Q1 FY27, margin widens
Indian paint maker Indigo Paints reported a 60% year-over-year rise in net profit for Q1 FY27, with operating margins expanding amid volume growth and cost discipline.

Indigo Paints Ltd. reported a 60% year-over-year increase in net profit for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027, citing volume growth and improved operational efficiency.
The Indian paint manufacturer posted a net profit of ₹52.3 crore ($6.2 million) for Q1 FY27, compared with ₹32.7 crore in the same period a year earlier. Revenue rose 18% to ₹345 crore ($40.8 million), driven by higher demand across residential and industrial segments.
Operating margins expanded to 15.2% from 12.8% in Q1 FY26, reflecting cost discipline and pricing power in a competitive market. The company attributed the margin improvement to better raw material sourcing and operational scale.
Indigo Paints, which went public in 2020, continues to gain market share in India’s fragmented paint industry. Analysts noted the company’s focus on premium and specialty products as a key driver of profitability.
The results were disclosed in the company’s Q1 FY27 investor presentation, which highlighted sustained demand and margin resilience despite inflationary pressures on input costs.
