Shares of Hyperliquid Strategies surged more than 20% in midday trading on Friday as the New York-based digital asset management firm reported strong fiscal 2026 results and a rally in its HYPE token.
The company posted net income of $305.5 million for the year ended June 30, 2026, alongside $149.9 million in cash and no debt on its balance sheet. Unrealized gains totaled approximately $1.1 billion to $1.2 billion, according to management. Hyperliquid also raised $647 million in equity capital through a committed capital facility during the fiscal year, reinforcing its financial position.
Hyperliquid’s HYPE token reached roughly $83.27, up 34% over the past week, while its PURR stock price hit a new 52-week high of $14.14 during the session. The company’s HYPE token treasury expanded from 12.5 million tokens to 29.3 million tokens, with substantially all tokens staked and generating yields, management said.
CEO David Schamis highlighted the firm’s progress in building its platform, noting the launch of the Hyperliquid Strategies x Unit validator, which quickly became one of the largest on the Hyperliquid network. The company also completed its exit from legacy biotechnology operations, refocusing its business exclusively on digital asset management.
Institutional interest in PURR shares grew, with 154 institutional investors adding positions in the most recent quarter, including an addition of over 8.7 million shares by Morgan Stanley. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite advanced 0.7% and 1.4%, respectively, providing additional market context for the rally.
Hyperliquid Strategies was cited as the only major digital asset treasury company with positive unrealized gains amid a broader crypto market downturn, underscoring its differentiated positioning in the sector.
