Humacyte misses earnings estimates by $0.07 per share
Revenue and earnings fell short of Wall Street forecasts as biotech firm Humacyte reported Q2 results. Shares slipped in after-hours trading.

Humacyte Inc. reported second-quarter results that missed analyst estimates, with earnings per share declining to a loss of $0.07 against a forecast of $0.00. Revenue totaled $1.2 million, below the $1.5 million expected by the market.
The biotechnology company, which develops bioengineered human tissues, cited ongoing clinical development costs and slower commercial adoption as key factors behind the shortfall. Humacyte’s lead product, a bioengineered blood vessel, remains in late-stage trials for vascular access applications.
Shares of Humacyte fell 3% in extended trading following the release. Analysts had anticipated a break-even quarter, underscoring the gap between operational progress and financial performance.
The company has emphasized long-term potential in regenerative medicine but continues to face near-term pressure as it scales commercialization efforts. Humacyte did not provide updated guidance in its earnings release.
