Henderson Land shares gained 6.8% to HK$30.10 on Friday after the developer reported a sharp recovery in its core property business, with first-half revenue rising 80.1% year-over-year to HK$17.20 billion.
Interim shareholder profit climbed 40.65% to HK$4.09 billion, driven by a 212% jump in revenue from Hong Kong property development. The board declared an interim dividend of HK$0.50 per share, payable on September 17, 2026, signaling management’s confidence in the group’s outlook.
The company attributed the results to favorable market conditions and the launch of several urban projects during the first half of the year. Henderson Land, co-chaired by Peter Lee Ka-kit and Martin Lee Ka-shing, operates primarily in Hong Kong’s property market, where conditions have supported a rebound in development activity.
The broader Hong Kong equity market provided additional tailwinds, with the Hang Seng Index rising up to 1.3% on the day.
